85 Sky Tower Minsu, Kaohsiung, Taiwan‎

The distance from the Sanduo Shopping District MRT station to the 85 Sky Tower Minsu is about 15 minutes. So me and my friends have to drag our luggage all the way to the minsu. Fortunately, the weather is nice and not so sunny. There're a few cafes and coffee shops along the way and some shops opposite the tower, so those who need to grab a bite, they needn't have to worry should they go hungry. Otherwise, they can walk for 15 minutes to the Sanduo Shopping Mall or perhaps take a MRT to the nearest night markets.

This is more of a hotel-style. But, still feels homely and relaxing. The soft pastel lavender walls with the cute sun-shaped lamp as well as the cute wall stickers is pretty inviting. The lighting are just right and the place is quite spacious.

The minsu comes with 2 queen-sized beds, a small pantry cabinet with basin and the bathroom, which comes with a shower room. They also provide toiletries as well as bottled water and coffee and tea sachets.

And it's WiFi is pretty strong, which is just perfect. But again, it doesn't have a wardrobe. Probably all the minsu felt that wardrobe is not a necessity.

Sorry, again I accidentally deleted the full-sized photos.

Overall, the place is nice to sleep in.

Far Far Away House 2, Taipei, Taiwan

After a 6-hour flight from Kuala Lumpur to Taipei, I'm so happy and thankful that I've reached Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport safe and sound. It's already late at night. No time for dinner. But thankfully, our driver manage to drive us to the nearby 7-11 store so me and my friends can quickly grabbed some snacks and instant noodles to bring back to the minsu (or homestay) for supper.

The minsu we're staying is located at the city centre, opposite is the Sogo Departmental Mall as well a MRT station. So it's pretty convenient. The minsu is inside a office-block-like building. As we come out of the elevator (there's 2 small elevators. It's just nice for 5 ladies with 4 medium-sized luggage), there're offices/retails, which are already closed. Our minsu is located at the end of the corridor, and opposite our minsu is a beauty salon.

It's a really homely and comfy place. Typical condo-style. It's a two-room unit, fully air-conditioned. I really felt like I just return home.
Sorry, I accidentally deleted the full-sized photos. So I only have this collage. I hope it helps to give you a rough idea how it looks like. Sorry!

The living room is spacious and comfy. The couch is nice and I actually slept on the couch. The kitchen is quite well-equipped. There's a stove with a cooker hob, water filter, kettle as well as cups, cutlery, plates and bowls. And the back yard, there's a washing machine and a clothes rails as well as clothes detergent. The bathroom is clean. Tissue paper, face and body towels as well as toiletries are provided. The bedrooms comes with a queen-sized bed, a display shelves and arm chair. There's no wardrobe provided, so your clothes will have to maintain inside your luggage.

Overall, I like this place. Most importantly, the WiFi network here is strong. I can't recall how much this place cost because it was my friend who arrange this whole trip.

Signed Up As A KFit Member

After seeing the ads on Facebook and after much contemplation, I finally decided to sign up as a KFit member. I am tempted with the number of partners as well as the classes, which I am really interested to join. I'm a dance freak... I used to go clubbing just to dance. And I've been a strong and faithful supporter of Zumba for 2 years now.

The KFit membership is priced at RM99 per month, however, for first-timer, I'm entitled to a RM50 discount, hence for the first month, I only pay RM49 per month. That is actually really affordable, especially knowing the fact that I can join as many classes as I want.

However, you need to read the schedule properly because certain centres allow you to join once a month, whilst there are some who allow you to join two to three times per month. So once that quota has exceeded, you are not allowed to join the centre. And upon entering the classes, you need to reserve the slot. For instance, you want to join the 8pm class on Monday, hence you will need to reserve the slot, then KFit representative will send the details to the respective centre so they will take note. If you couldn't make it for the class, you will need to cancel it 24 hours before the class commenced, otherwise you will be penalized (if I'm not mistaken RM20-RM50) for no-show.

Well, these are the basics of KFit that I can share with you. To find out more, you can check out their website at https://kfit.com/. However, if you are thinking of checking out the schedules to see if you have any interesting or suitable classes to join, I'm afraid you will have to sign up for the account in order to access the schedule.

I can't wait to join classes!
