Phuket Convention 2011

It's my company's annual trip-cum-convention at Phuket. I'm so excited. It's my first convention trip. I'm so raring to go.
We took the AirAsia flight to Phuket, which is approximately 1 hour flight (fortunately, no delay) and reached Phuket Airport. It's an hour drive to Evason Phuket Resort (luckily my mum bought for me a bun to munch otherwise I will starve to death)
Finally, we have reached the resort. While waiting to check in, I grab a few shots around the reception area.

 

 

 

 

 

After checking in, I went to check out my room. It's really spacious and airy. Really comfortable. And all in my favorite colors, too ^_^

 

 

 

The bathroom is spacious, too, with two basins. Perfect.

 

And the view was beautiful as well. So nice to wake up facing the beautiful scenery.

A free boat ride to Bon Island, which is also part of Evason Phuket. Turnaround time is 1 hour.

Bon Island is approximately 20 - 30 minutes ride from Evason Phuket, depending on the sea condition

The resort is really nice. However, if you planning to go shopping at Patong beach, it's about an hour drive from the resort. That's just one thing I don't like about this place. And it also took an hour to go to the nearest jetty, where my company planned a boating trip. I hate long-distance drive, but I've no choice but to follow ahead.
Overall verdict:
The whole trip is invigorating (except for the scorching sun). I just love to laze around on the beach or even on the deck chair at the patio, enjoying the breeze and the sound of the wave. They even have a mini library and a free Wi-Fi at the reception area. If you're planning to just sit back and relax and not to come here to do a shopping spree, then this is the place to be.
