KFit – Jazzercise (Damansara Jaya)

Since I worked near The Atria Shopping Gallery in 2008, I have always wanted to join Jazzercise, however, because I’ve to relocate to KL, I have to forego my wishes.

Then I stumble upon Jazzercise on the KFit schedule and immediately reserve a class, on Sunday called Dance Mixx. Yes, it is indeed far, from PWTC to Damansara Jaya. But it’s still the Puasa period, and Sunday morning the traffic smooth and there’s ample parking, so I thought why not. Since I’m a KFitter, I better just try the class out. Not like I’m gonna be forced to sign up.

The Jazzercise studio is located on the third floor, right above Omitsu Koshi Japanese Restaurant, which is a corner unit. There’re buntings on the entrance, so you won’t miss it. You can immediately know when the class commenced as you can hear the booming music and voice from ground floor and the moment you reached the third floor is the studio where you can see the members dancing through the glass panel and door. There’s a round ottoman in front of the reception, with a few chairs placed by the wall. The reception area is carpeted, except the dance floor, which is timbered flooring. There’re windows on one side, and a huge mirror or the other side, near the entrance. In front of the studio is a stage, and behind the stage, there’s 2 bathrooms and 1 washroom. If you forget to bring your water bottle, they provide bottles of water, but with a small fee. If I’m not mistaken, a bottle of water cost RM1. The studio is equipped with 2 air-conditioners, so the place is really cool (but after exercising you still sweat =.=)

The instructor is really nice and friendly. I was early when I reached there, but there’re a couple of regular members who already inside mingling around. One of the members opened the door for me and invited me to sit down while I wait for the instructor to assist me with the registration. When the instructor came, I was offered a registration form to register my details then the class commenced.
I realized it is not Dance Mixx, but was Dance Fusion as the original instructor was not available on that day, so this instructor came to replace her. Not that I mind, as long as they did not cancel the class after driving all the way here and as long as I get to sweat and work my butt off, I’m fine. Sunday class can consider quite crowded. About 8 people in the studio (the studio looks like can fit 10-12 members) It’s a great workout actually and I really enjoy it. I definitely would love to come again.

So the next time I joined the evening class on Wednesday (it’s still Puasa period, so definitely the traffic wasn’t gonna be horrendous). This time is the Dance Mixx class. Again, I enjoy it. This time, probably because it’s a late class (the last class starts at 8:15pm-9:15pm), so there’re only 4 (including me) in the class. Perhaps, it’s the Puasa month, so not much people.

The Jazzercise @ Damansara Jaya only allows KFitters to go up to 2 visits per month. Overall, I’ve attended 3 classes and I’m happy with the class. But whether or not I wanna sign up, I guess I really have to consider carefully, as I need to take into consideration the factors, such as time, distance, toll and petrol.
