Groupon - Urban OPI Nail Salon, Bangsar Baru

My intention to buy this voucher is actually to use it before Chinese New Year, unfortunately the schedule is packed, hence I unable to redeem my voucher on that day. (Lesson: Must call up to ensure there's available slot before purchasing the voucher)
Since I have a 10-days year-end holiday, so I took this opportunity to use this voucher before it expired (the voucher only valid on weekdays)
Hence, today I use this voucher. Firstly, let me tell you what is stated on the Groupon deal page, so you have an understanding of what this deal is about:

Classic Mani-Pedi + Foot Soak + Foot Scrub + Hand and Foot Massage at Urban OPI Nail Salon, Bangsar for RM39 instead of RM106
 Highlights
  • Choose from over 300 designer OPI colours.
  • Complimentary green tea, coffee or tea.
  • Therapists with more than 8 years’ experience.
  • Top up RM7 for French manicure or pedicure and RM6 for eyebrow or upper lip and lower lip waxing.
Before the invention of automobile horns, fingernails were colour coded to warn oncoming traffic – red to stop, green to go and blue to watch out for wandering herds of depressed mountain meese.  Stick a finger to the past with today’s Groupon: for RM39, you get a one-hour manicure (RM38 value), pedicure (RM48 value) foot soak, foot scrub, plus hand and foot massage (RM20 value) at Urban OPI Nail Salon in Bangsar Baru (RM106 total value).Parched throats are irrigated with infusions of coffee or tea while further downtown, pedal pushers erase memories of six inched stiletto sufferings, assuaged by trained therapists with scrubs and callus removing soaks. As owners contemplate colour choices from over 300 OPI options, Plain Jane digits are kneaded to relieve cramps from vigorous V-signs at weekly sorority sister photo-ops. Top up RM7 for French manicures or pedicures or RM6 for either an eyebrow or upper and lower lip waxing to prevent mistaken identities with pet walruses.
So I was there about 15 minutes early so I get to do my mani and pedi first. The salon is small; it conjoined with a hair salon, without any partitions. It consists of 3 tables for manicures and 4 armchairs and basins for pedicures.
I went to choose my nail polish, whilst the Indian lady went to continue with her threading work with a customer. After choosing my color, I have to wait for another 5 minutes whilst the Indian lady answered her phone call.
Then, finally she work on my manicure and pedicure. To summarize my experience, kindly view below:

1.    On the Deal page, Groupon stated:
  •  Choose from over 300 designer OPI colours. --- I think I can only see about 100+ OPI colors on display; a lie.
  •  Complimentary green tea, coffee or tea. --- NO one offered drinks; so this is another lie.
  •  Therapists with more than 8 years’ experience.--- Seriously??? Doesn't look like it...
2.   The Indian lady mentioned that the Groupon voucher is just EXPRESS manicure and pedicure, hence NO cuticle shaping or remover, massage, etc. She claimed that Groupon did not state Express on the voucher.
3.  NO hand massage.
4.    NO foot massage (the lady just slapped lotion and rub on my leg. PERIOD).
5.    NO foot soak.
6.    Foot scrub – The lady just slapped some scrub, use a brush and scrubbed like 2-3 seconds and rinsed off.
7.    NO foot callus removing.
8.    Due to the so-called lack of staffs and fully-booked schedule, the lady said my toenails are allowed to dry for 2 minutes then I must go. However, I stayed for, like, 8 minutes then she ‘politely’ said “Excuse Me”, removed the foam toe separators from my toes and went to continue her job with another customer. No “Thank You” or checked if the nail polish is completely dry. Nothing. Probably because I’m a Groupon customer.

The outrageous part is, the Indian lady got the cheek to warn me not to buy from Groupon or other discounted website as sometimes they promote things that cause some ‘misunderstandings'’ to the customers. I was utterly shocked when I heard this. I starting to wonder whether THEY approached Groupon or Groupon approached them to come up with this deal. I believe it should be the former, but I was speechless.
All I can say is, based on my above experience, trust me on this, there will be NO MORE second visit to this fraud salon. With the way they handle the customers and their non-committal attitude towards their work, I'm not sure how long they can survive in this industry.

My Favorite Online Store - Doublewoots.com

I always very afraid to buy apparels online, for fear of the sizes and if it's gonna look good on me. But after I came back from Bangkok, most of the clothes I bought in Platinum Mall and Chatuchat Market, Bangkok, I'm not allowed to try and they're all free size but yet, I still buy anyway. Thankfully, all the clothes I bought, all fit me perfectly and the design looks good on me. So I thought, "why not buy online? As long as they are free size and I'm on average size they should fit me no problem. If I can risk it in Bangkok, so why not online?"
So I have browsed through a few online boutiques and I came across Doublewoots.com (http://www.double-woot.com/). I like all their clothes and their price are reasonable as well. They mostly sells dresses, which I really love wearing as I'm very lazy to mix-and-match ;). And there are 2 items that really caught my attention; 1 is a red halter-neck cheongsam and 1 is a red, laced mandarin-collared top (both are free size). I have always wanted to wear cheongsam and I am delighted to actually found it. Once again, I read through their terms and conditions, shipping info, payment info, etc before I proceed with my purchase. Once I have checked everything, I made my first purchase with this store. I was really nervous, honestly, as I prayed that I'm able to fit on the 2 items that I have just bought.
2 days later, I received my items and I immediately checked for any defects before I try it on. What a sigh of relief, I'm able to fit on both of them and they fit my perfectly (well, perhaps except for the cheongsam, it was a tiny bit loose, but well, loose is better than tight, right?)
I'm happy with my purchase and I receive good feedback from my relatives and friends when I visited them during Chinese New Year. So yeah, with the price and the efficiency as well as reliability, definitely worth to recommend to you guys to give them a shot. I will surely return again to buy more dresses.

MAS Airlines - Kuala Lumpur > Bangkok > Kuala Lumpur

It's been years since I last ride in MAS Airlines. I literally forgot how it was like and what they have provide. I have patronizing AirAsia airlines, that's why.
Anyway, it is really a good change and an enjoyable ride. The food served is delicious. On my flight to Bangkok, I was served fried rice with chicken satay.

And also Magnum ice cream for dessert! So cool. I hadn't eaten Magnum ice cream for ages!!!
They also have a small TV, with nice movies. And we're provided with earphones, too. I get to watch Marley and Me but only three-quarter of the show, because we're about to land and the steward came to claim back the earphones :(

However, when we're on the flight back to Kuala Lumpur, there's no TV, so I read The Star newspaper provided by the airline and read throughout my journey back home. And the food is, again, good. Green curry chicken rice. But this time no dessert :(

The whole experience has been good and smooth so far :)

The AETAS Bangkok Hotel

This is a nice and modern-looking hotel with friendly and helpful staffs. I think the hotel is about 1 or 2 years old, so naturally, the amenities and equipments are still quite new. There's a BTS station called Ploen Chit station, which is about 5-8 minutes walk from the hotel (depends on your walking pace), but the hotel do provide a shuttle service from the hotel to the BTS station at certain times, so you need to inquire with the concierge staff.
However, should you wish to take a taxi to some place (my family and I went to the shopping area like Platinum Mall, Terminal 21, etc), the concierge staff will instruct the guard to wave down a taxi from the road and then inform the driver to where we wish to go and we just hop in. Very convenient. No need to walk to the main road to catch a taxi ourselves.
As for the hotel room, I'm staying in the Superior Room. Very nice and spacious, and most importantly clean and cosy. The bathroom is spacious as well, with a separate bathtub and shower, the shower is equipped with a rain shower, which is really lovely and the water is strong, too, which is a plus. And there's a built-in speaker in the bathroom, too, which is just perfect as I can enjoy some music while I'm showering ;) I like well-lit rooms, and this has really met my expectation. Internet service is fast, too. And the buffet breakfast is good as well, though I've been eating the same thing during my 4 days stay, I wish there's some variety.
Overall, I can't think of any complaints during my stay here. Everything seems to be working out fine and my whole family really enjoys our stay here. Definitely will stay here again next time :)

My First Favorite Online Store - MrLens.com

I am a bit sceptical about this online purchase thing-y, but I know I need to go along with the trend. So my first purchase, is buying contact lens. I usually buy my supplies at Focus Point, but there are times where I'm so busy with my work that I totally forgot to stock up and this frustrates me a lot.
So as I was Google-ing up for contact lens promotions, a website has caught my attention. It is called MrLens (http://www.mrlens.com.my/en/). I browsed through and to my utter delight, they have the brand that I'm using and it cost slightly cheaper (well, if I'm gonna add up with the petrol and parking fee, the price they offered is really much cheaper). And most importantly, shipping is FREE within Klang Valley (only applicable for purchase more than RM50. Hell, my contact lens cost more than that and I usually buy 2-3 boxes, just in case :-P). Awesome! I read thoroughly all their terms and conditions, shipping info, etc and I thought, "why not?" Everything has their first times.
Hence, I immediately sign up a new account and select my items. Then I select the address that I prefer to receive the item (I usually prefer it to send to my office as I'll be there more often than I am at home) and select my payment method. They accept credit card and debit card either Visa or Mastercard and MEPS FPX and Online Bank Transfer either M2U or Hong Leong Bank. I usually go for M2U, I felt its a bit more safer and easier. And I'm done.
It said it will take one day to process (provided if you place your order on working days and not during weekend, if you place your order during weekend or public holiday, they will only process on working day) and deliver the items within 24 hours.
So I have placed my order and paid for it on Monday and I receive a confirmation email on the same day, and tomorrow, I got my items! Perfect! And it was delivered by MrLen's delivery guy. So efficient and reliable. Totally will continue to purchase from MrLens again, once I finish my supply, which will probably gonna take 6 months :P
Definitely must recommend to those contact lens users if you want an easy and fast way to replenish your contact lens.

Decléor Paris - Still No Answer

I'm really tired of waiting. But it seems they are enjoying wasting the customers time and create more distress and inconvenience to the customers. I hate it when they already get the money and once problems arise, they just cross their arms and ignore the customers.
My email to Ms. Wey Wei is still left unanswered. No calls from Decléor Paris till today. I really starting to doubt if their business is legitimate. What if next time they decided to close down the business, then my money vanished into thin airs?! God, this is making me mentally distressed.
I think I will file a report to the Consumer Tribunal. If I still don't hear from them this week. This whole thing is making me stress, anxious and fed up. I really wanna put an end to this. I don't want to incur more stress into my already stressful life.

Decléor Paris - Fed Up

I'm really fed up. They really did not take me seriously. I already planned and set my appointment to do my therapy on 19 Nov, my birthday treat for myself. And I am really looking forward for a R&R. Unfortunately, today (12 Nov 2011) I received a call saying that they have to cancel it due to a last minute roadshow, hence all the beauticians are not available to do any therapies for anyone on that day. What the hell?! This is so incredulous. So when I want to reschedule to another weekends, it claims the rest of the weekends are full. The only available slot is the very next day (13 Nov 2011); I was only given 14 hours notice and it's a "take it or leave it" order. What the hell?! They obviously think I just sit and home and shake my legs, doing nothing, is it? Such last minute notice. I was so upset. They really treat me as a fool. Why do I have to succumb to such bad treatment? I just want to pamper my body, that's all. Is that a lot to ask for? I'm such an unlucky person.

Celebrity Fitness - Back to Square One

I've spoken to Dyla, and we have reached an agreement that I will pay in 2 installments for the so-called outstanding payments that Celebrity Fitness has 'failed' to debit from my credit card.
As soon as I received a confirmation from HSBC on 4th of October, on whether Celebrity Fitness has reverse back the lump sum payment of RM925 back to my credit card, two days later I went to the Celebrity Fitness in Bangsar Village to pay for my first installment. After I paid, the customer service personnel gave a friendly reminder to pay the remaining balance on the 1st of November as what is written on the note in my account. So I said OK and I will come back on the 1st of November as soon as my salary comes in and told him to make sure Celebrity Fitness do not deduct from my card anymore.
Unfortunately, my orders is not heed as when my brother passed me the statement, Celebrity Fitness deduct the remaining outstanding balance from my card again on the 18th of October. I was really furious. As I have reached an agreement with Dyla. It upsets me so much because they did not heed to my orders.
Hence I went to Bangsar Village and looked for Dyla for explanation as I find this unacceptable. And I she can say is sorry and all fucking excuses that other outlets or the finance department went ahead to deduct from my card without checking on the note that was stated on my account.
This really frustrates me a lot, due to unethical and unprofessionalisme way of handling their job. Now, because of their mistakes, I have to re-pay back to my brother AND the penalty fee for the outstanding amount to HSBC.
To all new members who plans to sign up to Celebrity Fitness, OR to any club centers, please be extra, extra caution especially when comes to payment. Once they have receive the money, no matter how many taunts, screams and breathe you have wasted, you will never ever get your money back. The only thing they CAN do is to say sorry. As though that word is powerful enough to turn your life around. So please, heed my advice and be extra caution. It is best to use Debit Card for all payments as it is the most safest form of payment method if you do not want to suffer the consequence like mine.

Decléor Paris - Beautician Transferred to Other Outlet

I received a disappointing news from the beautician, Rosabelle who assisted me during my first trial visit (using my Groupon voucher) that she will be transferred to another outlet in The Curve. What timing. I just signed up and paid in full for the course and now she's transferred to another outlet. And the course is only valid in Mid Valley. I felt so cheated upon hearing this. And she's unsure as to whether she will be permanently based in The Curve or whether she will return back to Mid Valley to work. This is my first time I encountered such an incident. It is such a sudden decision that left me in losing end. I'm not gonna go all the way to The Curve just to do my therapy. The reason I opt to go to Mid Valley in the first place is because of the location. I do most of my errands there during the weekend and it's only 15-20 minutes drive from my home.
Somehow, I really felt cheated by them. I starting to regret buying the course. And it's not cheap, too. RM1.3K for merely 10 sessions. Really, really regret. To those who is thinking to try, please be extra vigilant.

MyDeal - 1 ½ Hours Holistic Anti-Stress Hot Stone Massage & Aromatherapy Body Massage @ Holistic Esthetics

A hot-stone back massage. That is just what I really need right now. The word Anti-Stress rings true to what I wanna look for.
Holistic Esthetics is located at two places; 1 in Bangsar and the other 1 in Solaris, Mont Kiara. I preferred the Bangsar outlet as it's more familiar as it just located just 2 minutes away from my old primary school. Aah, my childhood memories.
Anyway, the normal price for this package is actually RM180, however I only pay RM68 via MyDeal.com, which is a good bargain. Nice for first-time trial.
So I have made an appointment today at 11AM. I went into the outlet to register myself and as usual, I need to complete my details on the Customers Details card. I have to wait for 10 minutes as they need to get the stones and ready. Then, the lady told me to go up to the second floor for my treatment as the rooms on the ground floor is fully occupied.
So fine, I went up to the flight of stairs to the second floor and again was told to wait for another 3 minutes. Finally, I was shown to my room and was told to strip and put on the shower cap and disposable panty provided.
The massage begin. It was done by a petite Thai masseur lady, but don't be deceive with her size, as she is pretty tough when comes to massage, which I like it, of course (but I did told her to soften the pressure on my lower back as I have previous injury before).
Firstly, she covered my back with towels, before she went to scoop out the stones, which was heating up in the electric multi-purpose pot. Then she slowly arrange the stones on my spine, before she went to massage my legs with the essential oil. Since my head is facing down the hole of the bed, and since there's no clock on the floor, so I can only guess-timate the time of the whole process.
She massaged about 10 minutes on each legs and then she took 2 hot stones and massaged directly on my skin for another 5 minutes each. Then she removed all the stones from back and the towel and proceed with 30 minutes of back massage, which includes, kneading, pressing, rubbing, acupressuring and squeezing. She also uses the hot stones to massage my back, which really felt so good. When she massaged my shoulder, she can feel the tensed muscle around there and kept on trying to release it (which actually hurt quite a bit), hence she spent another 5 minutes on my shoulder. She also uses the hot stones on my shoulders as well as on my arm.
Then, she told me to turn around and I did so. Funnily, I felt like she placed the hot stones on my pelvis, as I can feel the heat there. She then proceed to massage my legs, arms, tummy and again, my shoulder for approximately 25 minutes. However, there's no hot stone use. After it's done, the masseur told me to sit up and she went to put my hands behind my head and then stretch my back by placing her knees on my lower back, then on the middle and lastly on my upper back. Finally, the whole process is done, and she left me alone to get myself dressed.
Once I dressed up, I went out of the room and the masseur led me to sit on the counter, with a cup of hot tea waiting for me. Then, a Chinese lady came and sat in front of me and asked how was the whole experience and explained on the methods of massage. As usual, she will then try to promote the package to me, specially for MyDeal customers, whereby I pay RM988 for the Full Hot Stone and Aromatherapy Body Massage. Sorry, not right now. So I just left without buying the package as I don't see myself need it right now.

Overall Verdict:
The hot stone massage is really invigorating. The heat of the stone that was massaged directly onto the skin does hurt a bit, but then it's really refreshing. If only they will do in front as well, but well, the lady said the offer only for the back. Not sure if its true, because it doesn't seem to say it on the voucher. But anyway, I will probably go back again once my budget is loosen up a bit ;)

Celebrity Fitness Charged Lump Sum

I have signed an agreement form when I first signed up with Celebrity Fitness that I have authorized Celebrity Fitness to debit my credit card on a monthly basis to pay for the fees. Credit card was under my brother so statement and everything is taken care of by him. I do not view the statement and since my brother did not nag or scream at me, I presume everything is OK.
UNTIL when I decided to terminate my account, which is fully ripe of one year, I was shocked to hear I have an outstanding amount of RM925 which I DID NOT PAY. What the Fuck?! I signed the damn papers to allow you guys to debit from my credit card and why the fuck you guys did not do the job?!
And the very next day, they fucking debitted RM925 from my credit card and I got a screaming call from my brother asking me what the fuck is going on.
This is incredulous. I signed the authorization letter, authorizing Celebrity Fitness to auto-debit my credit card to pay for the monthly dues. But unfortunately this has not been executed. How come I was not informed about this? How come there’s no one calling me to inform me that my card has a problem? How come when I register myself at the reception counter at the branches, no one inform me of the outstanding? Don’t their systems connect to the database of the head office as well as to the rest of branches? Then what is the point of registering myself at the counter when I can just go straight to the fitness area?

I went to speak to Dyla, the Operation Manager of Bangsar Village outlet (my home branch) and get clarification from her. After I was told that there was a problem with my card, I immediately called up the bank if they have rejected any transaction from Celebrity Fitness but they responded that they did not receive any notification of transaction from Celebrity Fitness! Which means my credit card is completely fine. And which means CF STAFF DID NOT DO THEIR JOB.
After investigation, I was told that it was one of the staff in charge of payment, who is working in the Finance Department has overlooked my account hence they did not manage to auto-debit my card. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RUBBISH! THEY HAVE OVER THOUSANDS OF CUSTOMERS AND THE STAFF CAN OVERLOOK?! Then how many more unsuspecting customers is CF staff planning to cheat and exploit?! I always have this idea when comes to other petty matters Celebrity Fitness will overlook, but when comes to MONEY they are very gung-ho to get it done ASAP. But why is this happening to me then?! How can the staff overlook this?! If I did not receive a call, I will not know that Celebrity Fitness has sneaked behind me and ‘sucked’ my credit card without my knowledge! Because of this, I unable to use my credit card because it has exceeded my credit limit and I have to pay for the interest because I’ve exceeded my limit and ALL BECAUSE OF THE STAFF WHO OVERLOOKED MY ACCOUNT.
I'm afraid this this is exactly how CF prey on their unsuspecting customers as they are trained to exploit customers’ money by claiming its OUR mistake instead of THEIRS. Therefore, because of their staff’s carelessness and unprofessionalism, I have been penalized for their mistakes.
Why do I have to be penalized? Why can’t the staff be penalize for the mistake they made since it’s their fault for OVERLOOKING THIS ACCOUNT? This is not RM9 we’re talking about. This is RM925!! It may be petty cash to them, but it does not work for me nor for my brother. It is not that I do not want to pay for the facilities. If I really don’t want to pay, I won’t have signed the authorization letter and will just blocked payment, since the computer in the reception counter is just for display. If I were told earlier, I will pay on the spot without going through any hassle or questioning, as I understand there are times system or server is down. The reason I go to Celebrity Fitness is because they allow to pay on a monthly basis, which I can afford, unlike some other centers that are required to pay on annual basis. But now I have to pay ONE LUMP SUM. ONE LUMP SUM FOR THE MISTAKE THE STAFF MADE THAT IS TOTALLY NOT MY FAULT AT ALL AND TOTALLY BEYOND MY CONTROL. AND THE FINANCE DEPT HAVE THE CHEEK TO TELL ME TO SETTLE IN FULL ON THE SPOT IF I WANT TO CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP AND NO NEGOTIATIONS IS ALLOWED AT ALL. This is how they throw all the blame on the customer in order to cover their colleague’s back? Blaming ME for my carelessness of not checking my statement. Blaming ME for not paying on time. Blaming ME for causing my own anguish. Blaming ME for cancelling the membership. Is this how you treat your customers? So if I did not go and cancel my membership, and did not know about this outstanding, then what is the consequence?!
To those who works out in Celebrity Fitness, PLEASE BE EXTRA CAUTION ABOUT THIS. Never ever assume and check your bank statement periodically, even if you are priviledge to have your spouse, siblings or parents to pay for you. You wouldn't want to be in my shoes. Trust me on this.

MyDeal - 3 Sessions of Antioxidant Rejuvenation Hot Bed Therapy @ Ecoparadise

Another deal that I've bought and shared with my mum. A package that consist of 3 sessions of Antioxidant Rejuvenation Hot Bed Therapy @ Ecoparadise. Per session is only 40 minutes. It's something like a sauna, but this one with Antioxidant feature. The original price of this package is RM120, but I only paid RM30, which is a really good bargain.
I chose to try out at The Gardens Mall as it's much closer to my home.
As usual, we have to register at the counter before we are allowed to go in. We are provided with two towels (1 bath and 1 face towel) and a set of free-sized yukata (Japanese cotton-material kimono-like top and a pair of cotton bermuda-length pants). The staff then led us to changing room and advised us to strip naked and put on the yukata. After that, she advised us that we can only stay in the approximately 41-43 Celcius room for only 40 minutes, then we have to sit at the resting area right outside the treatment room for about 5 - 10 minutes to cool down before adjourning to shower. She also said we can bring a small thermos of water, which was prepared and set on the shelves for anyone to grab a drink, into the treatment room.
Once we entered the room, the floor is already heated. I was like tip-toeing, skipping to the empty 'hot bed'. The room is a four-'bedded' room with a small wooden board in between the 'bed' to block the view of seeing each other's face. We then laid to rest on the 'bed' with my legs on top of the bath towel as it's very hot when in contact to the skin directly. We really sweated like as though someone splashed a bucket of water at us.
After 40 minutes, we then left the room and the gush of cold air seems so welcoming to me. We then sat at the resting area for about 10 minutes with the face towel placed on our head. One of staff served us a shot-glass of enzyme drink to drink for better effect after the treatment.
We then headed for the shower. The changing room only consists about 10 lockers, 2 toilets and 3 shower room. So I let my mum to shower first while I wait for my turn. The shower room is equipped with both a rain shower head and normal shower head. I chose the rain shower and it's so nice to have the slightly cool water raining down my head and body.
Once we're done, my mum said that my face is quite red as well as my back, which is good as the blood is circulating.

Overall Verdict:
Both my mum and I truly enjoyed the treatment. It's really relaxing and refreshing. A comforting detoxifying experience. We can't wait to go for the second and third session. Most probably we will sign up for their package as well.

Groupon - Decléor Paris Slim Effect Treatment + Aromatic Full Body Exfoliation Scrub

Decléor Paris. I have always wanted to try out their treatments, but their prices are a little too steep. Then, came across the deal from Groupon. I purchased it without a second thought. The deal offered Slim Effect Treatment + Aromatic Full Body Exfoliation Scrub for RM88 instead of RM236. The slim effect treatment is only a partial treatment, where I have to choose which particular area, e.g. tummy, thigh or arm that I would like to be treated.
After my purchase and my appointment set, I went for my treatment on a Saturday morning. I was told to complete my details by the therapist before I was brought to the locker to put my things. Then, she showed me the room, which was quite dim. It's actually quite spacious; there's a bed, a basin in front of the bed and a small door-less shower room, which is about 1 feet of the floor, at the corner of the room.
I was provided with a piece of disposable G-string panty, shower cap and a robe. I was told to strip naked and told me to put on my robe. I was thinking, why would I need to put on my bathrobe for? But anyhow, I just do as I was told.
After that, I laid on the bed, face down and the therapist begin to exfoliate my legs first all the up, then turned to my front, and exfoliate from the legs first, until my body and she missed my bust area. Never mind, doesn't concern me much. Once my body is fully exfoliated, which took about 15 minutes, she went to the shower room and adjusted the temperature of the shower and told me to wash up. While I was showering, she went to remove the bed sheets and then told me, behind the wall to dry up using the bath towel provided and told me to put on my own bra and panty so she can start with the slim effect treatment.
The exfoliation really make my body feel so fresh and clean. I do exfoliate occasionally at home, but perhaps its the ingredient of the exfoliation scrub she use that softens my skin. I went to dry myself and put on my bra and panty and waited for the therapist to return.
The slim effect treatment is mostly vigorous massage on the tummy area, which felt like my tummy is doing a vigorous exercise without me putting the effort. The whole process took about 30 minutes. After the treatment, I felt good overall. And I would love to try this again.

Overall Verdict:
The whole process is quite short, I was hoping to be longer. So the price I paid for this is quite expensive, but well, the brand itself its already expensive.
However, I still signed up for their slim effect package and I will start my next session next month.

Groupon Deal - Malswisse 2 Make-Up Classes and either Facial or Makeover Package

I've purchased another deal from Groupon, which is the 2 Make-Up Classes and either Facial or Makeover Package by Malswisse Derma Care Training Centre.
I was pretty excited as I always wanted to participate in a make-up class to improve my skill. So I was really looking forward for it. I received a confirmation from Groupon that the class will be conducted in English as I can't understand and converse in Mandarin.
However, to my disappointment, the class is conducted both in Mandarin and English, where the instructor already admitted that her English is below average, therefore 70% of the class is conducted in Mandarin, which I have trouble understanding and following. The rest of the students have no problem because all of them communicate in Mandarin, so it's only me.
Anyway, the class began with methods to wash the face and the type of product to use. I noted that Malswisse uses similar names as Dermalogica products. Only difference is the brand name and perhaps some of the ingredients. I prayed in my heart that their products doesn't cause any reaction to my skin as my skin is hyper-sensitive.
Throughout the session, so far my skin felt a bit of of warm and tingling sensation, hence I silently pray that it's just a normal reaction.
After completing the three basic essential routine, we proceed to learn to apply foundation and powder on the face. Then, the class is complete. (yeah, I was surprise as well, but I'm too concern with my face after using the product that I can't wait to rush home to wash it all off).

Overall Verdict:
I just felt dissatisfied with this class that I complained to Groupon.
Fortunately, I was refunded partially (better than nothing) for the deal, which I deeply appreciate it. I guess, I won't be buying anymore of this kinda classes again in the future.

MyDeal - Essential Health Screening + Results Analysis + Health & Slimming Diet Meal Consultation @ ILife Nutrition

This deal sounds interesting. Essential Health Screening + Results Analysis + Health & Slimming Diet Meal Consultation @ ILife Nutrition (Kota Damansara) for only RM28 Instead of RM160. All the way in Kota Damansara. Hmmm... Never mind, I might as well go and get my hair cut at the hair salon where my regular stylist transferred to. Shoot 2 birds with 1 stone. ;)

When I first got there, I was about 5 minutes early, but the outlet is not open yet. Strange. On the voucher it said opened at 10AM. And my appointment is at 11AM. And I'm very certain sure that is the outlet I'm standing in front of because the signage says so. So I called up the person in charge and she said she's on the way, another 10 minutes. *rolled eyes* Not a good impression, I suppose.
So, fine, I wait. I can't just leave since I drove all the way from KL.
10 minutes later, she arrived. So I walked in. The outlet looks like a retail shop, selling health supplements and health food. We entered a small office and she passed me an empty bottle for my urine sample. She directed me to the washroom at the back of the shop and allow me some time and privacy to do my thing.
After that, I passed the bottle to her and she began with checking my blood pressure and heart rhythm. While I waited for the machine to finish reading my heart rate, then she announced that she will take my blood samples. She probably can foresee that I'm terrified of needles that's why she chose to announce it after the machine finished reading my heart rate. I hate needles and I'm seriously terrified of them and when she said it's gonna hurt like ant bite, I wanted to tell her 'Bullshit'.
So after taking my blood samples and checked my urine samples as well as checking my BMI and Body Composition Analysis, we finally sat down and discuss about my results. She said my cholesterol level is very high and I need to seriously cut down on fatty and oily food, such as pork, curry, etc. My blood sugar is good, my protein level a bit high, no signs of h.pylori, I got more fats stored around my mid-section (thanks, I already know that >.<)
Then, she gave me a food log, which I have to follow (but knowing me, I doubt it) She told me to return in a month or two time, so I will see about that.

Overall verdict:
The nutritionist is a pleasant, young Chinese lady. The outlet is still new, about 4 months old. But so far, it's OK. Not sure if there will be a second visit, but well, never know.
